Paella | Spanish Instant Sauce Bar

Ingredients (in order):

  • 3 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 chicken breast, cubed
  • 1 lb frozen, peeled shrimp
  • 1/2 chorizo, diced
  • 1 red bell pepper, diced
  • 1 tomato, diced
  • Spanish Sauce Bar
  • 3 cups of water
  • 1 cup of rice (Basmati, long grain, or Arborio ; any rice works for this recipe; cooking time and water amount may vary depending on the rice type)
  • 1 cup frozen peas

Preparation:

  1. In a pan, cook the chicken in olive oil until golden.
  2. In the same pan, add the shrimp and cook until golden (they will release water, which is fine!).
  3. Add the red bell pepper and tomato. All of this will release more juice.
  4. Add the Spanish Sauce Bar; it will melt and create a sauce with the cooking liquid from the shrimp, chicken, and vegetables.
  5. Add 3 cups of water, then the cup of rice.
  6. Cover and let simmer for 15 minutes.
  7. Add the frozen peas, stir, and cook for another 5 minutes.
  8. Serve and enjoy!
