How do I use Food Crayon?
Open - Shave - Eat !
Sharpen your Food Crayon to add the finishing touch to your dishes, desserts, and cocktails just before serving.
It's all natural!
We use only natural ingredients: natural juices, spices, infusions, fruit purées, essential oils, and natural flavors.
We use apple cider vinegar and salt to preserve our spice pencils.
No other preservatives, we promise!
A natural texture made with Agar-Agar
To obtain this texture, we use agar-agar, a natural, plant-based gelling agent extracted from algae.
Is it gluten free?
The ingredients used in crafting the Spice Pencils are gluten-free.
Is it Vegan?
All the Food Crayons are vegan.
*Only the Honey and Mustard flavor is not vegan. This Spice Pencil is made with honey.
Where are you based?
We are truly proud to share that the Food Crayons are produced in small batches at our workshop in Montreal.
A Quebec-based business that employs local people!
How many shavings should I use?
The team recommends:
- 5 to 10 shavings per plate;
- 1 to 2 shavings on a bite-sized piece or a cocktail.
One pencil contains approximately 120 shavings, which is enough for about 3 lovely meals for 4 people. (You’ll be able to impress quite a few guests!)
How long can I store them?
Food Crayons can be stored for 12 months.
Once opened, we recommend keeping them in the refrigerator in their tightly sealed tube.
